Who is Greet den Holder?

Hello, my name is Greet den Holder and I live in The Hague, The Netherlands. I am the owner and blogger of Meemoeder.com. I added a YouTube channel in 2017.

At first, I only wrote in Dutch, focusing solely on lesbian family life. As of 2017, I have been writing in English as well as I have had the opportunity to visit international LGBT+ events. Most of them celebrate queer representation in media, a cause that is very dear to me.

I had a hard time understanding and coming to terms with my sexual orientation in my teenage years as I had no representation whatsoever. I don’t want anyone having to go through that, so I aim to promote high-quality LGBT+ movies, web series, and TV shows. If you find your stories in the world around you, it is easier to understand yourself and what you are looking for in life. That is why you will find a new blog post and video on this website and my YouTube channel every Wednesday.

Background of Greet den Holder

College life was great. I hold two master’s degrees. The first master’s degree I obtained was in American Studies. During the American Studies bachelor program, my minors were Film & TV studies and Gender Studies. I was also an exchange student at NAU. During the American Studies master program, I decided to work at the European HQ of Xerox in Dublin for a while. About three years later, in 2011, I obtained a master’s degree in International Business & Management.

Life after college is even better. I have met the love of my life and married her. Also, my wife and I have a beautiful son. Yes, I do realize how lucky I am!
